WILLIAM GOSS
DAY BOOK
William Goss bought the
Cilley Tavern and operated it as the SUNCOOK VALLEY HOUSE, and proceeded to move
and build structures in the area which eventaully
bore the name “Gossville”. The day book seems
to center around those who did work for him in exchange for goods and
services and gives clues as to when he started moving and building in
the area.
William Goss buys March 12, 1855, the Cilley Tavern from William P. Cilley,
heir of the estate of Daniel Cilley.
